The ALEX “SLIV” NEMZEK Owl Legacy Man of the Year Awardis an annual honor that recognizes a football player for outstanding achievements both on and off the field. Established in 2024, the award is named after the late Alex “Sliv” Nemzek, a distinguished figure in the history of North Dakota State University (NDSU) and Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) athletics.
Alex “Sliv” Nemzekwas a pioneer in college sports, serving as a team captain for NDSU in 1916.
